  • Although women’s rights and children’s rights constitute a separate field of study, they are also within the scope of family law.

In our family law, the relationships that individuals can protect are limited. Limited number counted. Marriage takes place with only one spouse.

Marriage with more than one spouse is not in question in Turkish law. Again, there is a limited number of goods regime applications regarding the goods regimes. In Turkish family law, it is not possible to talk about another property regime that is not listed in the law.

It is a right that people can choose by using the property system option given to them by law. New property regimes that have never been prescribed by law cannot be applied.

Rules in family law are mandatory legal rules. They must be necessary to maintain family members and social order. Family law is also designed to protect children and the weak. Family law protects children from parents and also protects children in custody from guardianship and guardianship institutions. If the restriction of a person’s freedom is necessary to protect him, he will make the necessary arrangements and achieve this purpose.

There is also state intervention in family law. An example of this is the obligation to marry in the presence of an authorized official. There are many formal commitments in establishing family law relationships. In Family Law, the content of rights and obligations is often not clear, so the content is usually determined by the judges.
